Do you have a story to tell? A product to present? Are you looking for a new hobby, alone or with friends? Podcasting, beyond having taken over our entertainment landscape, has endless applications. In this talk, we will go over some basics of podcast production, looking at how an idea turns into an audio file that can be distributed across the internet. No prior knowledge of audio production or media creation is required.

Jemily Rime is a PhD student in the Music Department at University of York, working with XR Stories and BBC Research & Development. Her research focuses on the production of personalised and immersive audio using AI-driven tools for podcasts. Jemily is a musician and composer, and studied Physics at King’s College London (2018).
