Join StreetLife Printer in Residence, Nick Gill, and Professor Helen Smith of the Department of English and Related Literature at the University of York, as they work together to print a limited, fine press edition of Jessie Summerhayes' Two Poems on Coney Street. Specially composed for the event, these poems dazzled audiences at the StreetLife project launch, where Jessie first performed them. Now, you can watch them take shape on the page.
The finished book will be on display at the StreetLife project. Visitors are welcome to chat to Nick and Helen as they work, and to learn more about the processes of letterpress printing, and the historic equipment housed at Coney Street.
