'What are Monuments?' Workshop and Talks

Description

Join a group of University of York researchers from as they explore the monument in all its forms, from the stained glass to blue plaques, from statues to gardens. This workshop will be hosted in the Spurriergate Centre, a space filled with monuments of all kinds. We'll also think about other forms of monument in the wider city and beyond, touching on topics such as decolonisation, environmental concerns, community engagement, and plans for the future. Bring your ideas and creativity as we explore monuments together!

The event is free but spaces are limited. Please book though Eventbrite.

Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day.
