Description
Throughout his 50 years of working with tape machines, Roy Harrison installed recording studios and cassette reproduction factories around the world, including in most countries of Europe, Dubai, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan and Palestine.
Music producer Dr Amandine Pras from the University of York will interview Roy about his passion for audio technology, travels, and people. Digital natives will see how sound engineering can lead to an interesting life full of cultural adventures. For analogue enthusiasts, Roy will also highlight the best pieces of his ‘museum’, which have made their homes in different studios in Leeds.
